So now it’s time to dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as ‘bad boy’ Danny and ‘the girl next door’ Sandy fall in love all over again.

My Friend The Doctor

Barney Transcribed the full score of Kim Scharnberg’s Arrangement of My Friend The Doctor from the West End Production of Dr Dolittle.

It was performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra on Friday Night is Music Night conducted by Mike Dixon.

Barney will be playing the piano for the BBC Concert Orchestra with Alex Gaumond, John Owen-Jones, Ricardo Alfonso, Matt Rawle and Paul Spicer. He is also scoring a piece for the Orchestra to perform from the 1998 West End production of Dr Dolittle which starred Phillip Schofield as the Doctor.

SPIRAL – China

Barney will be Associate Musical Director to Mike Dixon on ‘SPIRAL‘ a new musical being created this Summer in China between June-August.

With a cast list boasting over 45 members including 20 specialist Acrobats, pyrotechnics, lasers and underwater sequences the production promises to be a huge Spectacular.

Summer Youth Project 2011

2nd/3rd April – Auditions (at Wyvern Theatre)
Registration at 9.30am, Auditions are from 10am-4pm (Saturday 2nd April)
Callbacks – 10am – 4pm (Sunday 3rd April) – times TBC
Project dates – Sunday 14th – Sunday 28th August 2011 (incl.)
Participants must be between the ages of 9 – 21 (at the time of Project)

SYP 2011 will be ‘Anything Goes’ (Beaumont Version)  - please check this link for further details.

You do not need to prepare anything for the audition.  On the day the creative team will teach you a song from the show and a short dance routine.

Application forms are now available.  Please ensure your form is returned by Monday 28 March 2011.
